Our Story

Bliss Ghana Made – Woven With Purpose, Rooted in Home 💛

Bliss Ghana Made is more than a shop — it's a mission born from a personal journey, shaped by resilience, and driven by a deep love for community.

Growing up in the Upper East Region of Ghana specifically Bolgatanga I witnessed my grandmother and many women in our village spend sleepless nights hand-weaving beautiful baskets. These women poured their hearts into every piece — only to walk long distances to the market and often return with disappointment. Sometimes there were no buyers. Other times, they were paid far less than their work deserved.

I saw firsthand how hard they worked — not just to create art, but to feed families, care for children, and keep us in school. Their dedication lit a fire in me.

After earning my degree in Marketing and struggling to find meaningful work, I turned back to what I knew and loved. I began researching ways to support the women in my community and discovered Etsy — a platform that could connect their craft with people who would truly value it.

And so, Bliss Ghana Made was born.

Every purchase from our shop helps create a sustainable income for the women artisans in our region. Our goal is to alleviate poverty, preserve tradition, and one day, build an educational fund for children in our community.
